Everytime I run Ad-Aware, norton pops up and says it has found a virus. It quarantines 11 virus' each time. The virus name is "Trojan.ByteVerify". I'm always able to delete these, but it is found again each time I do an ad-aware scan (I don't think that my virus scan actually finds anything when I run that alone). I usually have ignored this, but a few days ago, my computer randomly went to the blue screen of death and rebooted itself. I didn't get a chance to see what it said and when it rebooted, my primary disk name (that is always displayed correctly on boot up) just had a strange character as the name and it got stuck at that screen. I was able to reboot and it finally came up normally, but I thought the virus that pops up each time I do an Ad-Aware scan might have something to do with it. Just in case this may reveal anything, below is my hijack this log file. Thanks! This should fix the problem:
Click on Start->Settings->Control Panel->Java Plug-in and click on the Cache tab. Then click on the Clear button and hit OK. If you have Java 1.5, do this instead. Start->Control Panel->Java->Settings->Delete Files and click OK and OK. Your log is clean. To help prevent future spyware infections, read the Anti-Spyware Tutorial and use the tools provided. Are there any problems now? If not, you should be set to go. |
