One requirement is that all machines have the same workgroup name. The link below has instructions on modifying the workgroup name.

After making sure that all pc's are in the same workgroup, then you must make sure they are set up to Automatically Receive an IP. They should be set up that way after running the wizard, but just make sure.
Go to Control Panel, open Network Connections, right click on the Connection Icon and click Properties. Now make sure TCP/IP is selected and click Properties button. Make sure "Obtain IP address Automatically" and "Obtain DNS server address Automatically" are selected. You should be good to go. If not then click start, run, type cmd and click ok. Now type this: ipconfig /all and press enter. Now copy and paste the results back here for us to look at. -=jonnyrotten=- |
