Optimum setup for windows xp to run fast

OS: windows XP



I am getting a new computer and was wondering if I only installed my programs on my D drive and leave the C drive for windows XP would this help my system to fun faster/smoother.

Hello Christine

That depends upon what D drive is. Would it be a partition on your only HDD or a fresh HDD? Would it share the same IDE?
