Hi thejo and welcome to the Geeks to Go Forums.
My name is Trevuren and I will be helping you with your log. I need to get you to move HijackThis to a folder of its own so that nothing gets deleted by mistake 1. Right click in an empty space on your desktop. 2. From the Menu, click New, then Folder and a folder will appear on your desktop. 3. Name the folder HJT 4. Cut/Paste your current version of HijackThis into the new Folder that was just created. 5. Now, run the program and post a fresh HJT log for review. Regards, Trevuren |

QUOTE C:\Documents and Settings\Jo\Local Settings\Temp\Temporary Directory 2 for hijackthis.zip\HijackThis.exe We seem to be having a bit of difficulty getting HijacThis into a Safe place so the backups are not open to easy deletion. Let's make it easier for you. 1. Please DELETE/UNINSTALL your current copy of HijackThis. 2. Download and run the following HijackThis autoinstall program from Here . Please choose the default location of C:\Program Files\ as the destination. HJT needs to be in its own folder so that the program itself isn't deleted by accident. Having the backups could be VITAL to restoring your system if something went wrong in the FIX process!
DO NOT MAKE ANY CHANGES OR CLICK "FIX CHECKED" UNTIL WE CHECK THE LOG, AS MOST OF THE FILES ARE LEGIT AND VITAL TO THE FUNCTION OF YOUR COMPUTER Regards, Trevuren |
