I am suffering from constant pop-ups while on the net and annimations appear all the time in the center of my screen. also the screen often goes blank for about 30 seconds and sometimes the whole system shuts down. I have run all the suggested programmes, Clean up, Ad-Aware SE, CWShredder, Spybot S&D, Ewido, Anti-malware, Trend House Call and Trojan Hunter and things have got no better, often, with some of the programmes it detects problems and says it is unable to delete them. I have posted my Ewido and hijack this reports and hope this is all that is needed. i am totaly stuck and would really appreciate any suggestins and help, thankyou very much, Jo.

Hi thejo and welcome to the Geeks to Go Forums.

My name is Trevuren and I will be helping you with your log.

I need to get you to move HijackThis to a folder of its own so that nothing gets deleted by mistake

1. Right click in an empty space on your desktop.

2. From the Menu, click New, then Folder and a folder will appear on your desktop.

3. Name the folder HJT

4. Cut/Paste your current version of HijackThis into the new Folder that was just created.

5. Now, run the program and post a fresh HJT log for review.

Regards,

Trevuren

We seem to be having a bit of difficulty getting HijacThis into a Safe place so the backups are not open to easy deletion. Let's make it easier for you.

1. Please DELETE/UNINSTALL your current copy of HijackThis.

2. Download and run the following HijackThis autoinstall program from Here . Please choose the default location of C:\Program Files\ as the destination. HJT needs to be in its own folder so that the program itself isn't deleted by accident. Having the backups could be VITAL to restoring your system if something went wrong in the FIX process!
  1. Run HijackThis
  2. Click SCAN and SAVE LOG. (a notepad window will open with the log in it when you click Save Log) (Ctrl-A to'select all', Ctrl-C to 'copy')
  3. POST the log into this thread using 'Add Reply' (Ctrl-V to 'paste')

DO NOT MAKE ANY CHANGES OR CLICK "FIX CHECKED" UNTIL WE CHECK THE LOG, AS MOST OF THE FILES ARE LEGIT AND VITAL TO THE FUNCTION OF YOUR COMPUTER

Regards,

Trevuren
