I have a little problem upgrading the Memory on my Laptop. I have a HP Omnibook XE3c 850Mhz processor Laptop (upgradeable to 512Mb Ram using 2 x 256Mb Ram). I am currently using 256Mb RAM (2 x 128mb, 100MHz, 3.3v, 144-pin SDRAM SO-DIMM) I was going to install 2 x 256mb RAMīs in my Laptop. So I thought before I go out and buy them, letīs try the one from my other Laptop (HP Omnibook 6100 /itīs got a 256MB Kingston 133MHz) first to see how it works. I tooked the old sticks out of my XE3 and installed the one from the Omnibook. After that I started my XE3 and all I got was a blank screen no beeb , no nothing. I couldīnt even turn the thing off! I tried that a couple of times but it kept doing the same thing, So I put the old ones back in and everything works fine again. Does anyone know what could be the problem and possibly know how to solve it? I did some research and supposibly I am able to use a PC133(MHz) Memory module. Any advise would be greatly appreciated Thanks Silver Phoenix |
