cant connect to internet !

Hi,

I am using windows XP.

I cant connect to internet, I have LAN connection.

The icon is blue and shows connected in network network places.

but I can only connect to internet by going in safe mode and choosing network option.

please help me.

Are you behind a router or straight to the modem?
what is your IP address? (start > run and type cmd. Type ipconfig) What are the results?
