Alright, let's begin fixing
Hello I am MkLoe Welcome to Geekstogo. I will be helping you, You will need to print out a copy of these instructions, or save them to NotePad and put a shortcut to the file on the desktop so that you can refer to these instructions while you complete this procedure. Please re-open HiJackThis and scan. Check the boxes next to all the entries listed below. O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [SearchUpgrader] C:\Program Files\Common files\SearchUpgrader\SearchUpgrader.exe O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [UninstalTime] chkdisk.exe O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [PeerGuardian] C:\Program Files\PeerGuardian2\pg2.exe Now close all windows other than HiJackThis, then click Fix Checked. Now close Hijackthis and reboot into safe mode. Restart your computer and as soon as it starts booting up again continuously tap F8. A menu should come up where you will be given the option to enter Safe Mode. Please remove these entries from Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel if present:If you don't know how to get to the control panel go Here and read step 2 SearchUpgrader AdobeReaderPro PeerGuardian <<< P2P file sharing, can let unwanted malware be downloaded to your computer Please note any other programs that you dont recognize in that list in your next responseYou now can close out of that window Please delete these folders using Windows Explorer (to get there right-click your Start button and go to Explore)if the folder is present: C:\Program Files\Common files\SearchUpgrader C:\Program Files\PeerGuardian2 Please delete these files using Windows Explorer(if present): C:\Windows\system32\chkdisk.exe After that, Reboot. Then post an uninstall list: To get an Uninstall List from HijackThis:
Please repost another Hijack This Entry and the uninstall list -------------------- You have to love Google:
1. go to www.google.com 2. click on "maps" 3. click on "get directions" 4. type " New York " in the first box (the "from" box) 5. type " London " in the second box (the "to" box) (hit get directions) 6. scroll down to step #23 BTW, don't forget to check out total estimated time. ![]() |
