my sister downloaded a trojan by clicking on a link on AIM... (when it tells you right on AIM that they might contain viruses, go figure) fortunately it hasn't done real damage thanks to PCcillan that has blocked interent attempts. Here's the deal I ran Spybot and Adaware as well as clean up. they detected things (obviously) and I deleted them. Restarted my computer, went to the ad/remove programs and searched, no programs were listed that I didn't want. Deleted files from the C:/ folder as well as a program from the program folder called batty (I can't do a system restore because my mother turned it off I restarted, and it was on for a while The next day I downloaded adaware and spybot updates (from another computer and transfered using USB device, it has been disconnected from the internet for a while) I reran adaware and spybot, adaware came up with a few entries, and spybot came up with less, all were registry entries ran Hijack this and this is the log: Logfile of HijackThis v1.99.1 Scan saved at 4:38:38 PM, on 7/30/2006 Platform: Windows XP SP2 (WinNT 5.01.2600) MSIE: Internet Explorer v6.00 SP2 (6.00.2900.2180) Running processes: C:\WINDOWS\System32\smss.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\winlogon.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\services.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\lsass.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\spoolsv.exe C:\PROGRA~1\TRENDM~1\INTERN~1\PcCtlCom.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\snmp.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exe C:\WINDOWS\tasknt.exe C:\PROGRA~1\TRENDM~1\INTERN~1\Tmntsrv.exe C:\PROGRA~1\TRENDM~1\INTERN~1\tmproxy.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\fxssvc.exe C:\PROGRA~1\TRENDM~1\INTERN~1\TmPfw.exe C:\WINDOWS\Explorer.EXE C:\Program Files\Common Files\Sonic\Update Manager\sgtray.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\spool\DRIVERS\W32X86\3\E_S4I2H1.EXE C:\WINDOWS\system32\dla\tfswctrl.exe C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\Internet Security 2005\pccguide.exe C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.5.0_06\bin\jusched.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\hkcmd.exe C:\Program Files\iTunes\iTunesHelper.exe C:\Program Files\QuickTime\qttask.exe C:\WINDOWS\evkfjhnA.exe C:\Program Files\iPod\bin\iPodService.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\ctfmon.exe C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 7.0\Reader\reader_sl.exe C:\Program Files\Digital Line Detect\DLG.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Works Shared\wkcalrem.exe C:\Program Files\Google\Web Accelerator\GoogleWebAccWarden.exe C:\Program Files\Google\Web Accelerator\googlewebaccclient.exe C:\Program Files\HijackThis\HijackThis.exe R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = file:///C:/Documents%20and%20Settings/Aaron/My%20Documents/webpage/home.html R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = file:///C:/Documents%20and%20Settings/Aaron/My%20Documents/webpage/home.html R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings,AutoConfigURL = http://localhost:9100/proxy.pac O2 - BHO: AcroIEHlprObj Class - {06849E9F-C8D7-4D59-B87D-784B7D6BE0B3} - C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 7.0\ActiveX\AcroIEHelper.dll O2 - BHO: DriveLetterAccess - {5CA3D70E-1895-11CF-8E15-001234567890} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\dla\tfswshx.dll O2 - BHO: Google Web Accelerator Helper - {69A87B7D-DE56-4136-9655-716BA50C19C7} - C:\Program Files\Google\Web Accelerator\GoogleWebAccToolbar.dll O2 - BHO: SSVHelper Class - {761497BB-D6F0-462C-B6EB-D4DAF1D92D43} - C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.5.0_06\bin\ssv.dll O3 - Toolbar: Google Web Accelerator - {DB87BFA2-A2E3-451E-8E5A-C89982D87CBF} - C:\Program Files\Google\Web Accelerator\GoogleWebAccToolbar.dll O3 - Toolbar: SearchHelper - {B6A5B638-6025-4C2C-A899-867B416453D2} - C:\Program Files\SearchHelper\SearchHelper.dll O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [UpdateManager] "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Sonic\Update Manager\sgtray.exe" /r O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [EPSON Stylus Photo R200 Series] C:\WINDOWS\System32\spool\DRIVERS\W32X86\3\E_S4I2H1.EXE /P30 "EPSON Stylus Photo R200 Series" /O6 "USB001" /M "Stylus Photo R200" O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [dla] C:\WINDOWS\system32\dla\tfswctrl.exe O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [pccguide.exe] "C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\Internet Security 2005\pccguide.exe" O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [ISUSPM Startup] "C:\Program Files\Common Files\InstallShield\UpdateService\ISUSPM.exe" -startup O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [SunJavaUpdateSched] C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.5.0_06\bin\jusched.exe O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [IgfxTray] C:\WINDOWS\system32\igfxtray.exe O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [HotKeysCmds] C:\WINDOWS\system32\hkcmd.exe O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [iTunesHelper] "C:\Program Files\iTunes\iTunesHelper.exe" O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [QuickTime Task] "C:\Program Files\QuickTime\qttask.exe" -atboottime O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [evkfjhnA] C:\WINDOWS\evkfjhnA.exe O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [SpySweeper] "C:\Program Files\Webroot\Spy Sweeper\SpySweeperUI.exe" /startintray O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [MSConfig] C:\WINDOWS\PCHealth\HelpCtr\Binaries\MSConfig.exe /auto O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [keyboard] C:\\kybrddd_6.exe O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [defender] C:\\dfndrdd_6.exe O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Microsoft Works Update Detection] C:\Program Files\Microsoft Works\WkDetect.exe O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [ctfmon.exe] C:\WINDOWS\system32\ctfmon.exe O4 - Global Startup: Adobe Reader Speed Launch.lnk = C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 7.0\Reader\reader_sl.exe O4 - Global Startup: Digital Line Detect.lnk = ?
