Can't connect to Wireless Network, Using D-Link wireless network card

Hi, I just bought a D-Link DWL-G510 wireless network card to connect to my home network. I am using to network for internet sharing.

I can't connect to the network. Using the XP Wireless Network, I can select my netwokr and click Connect. Nothing happens the same box comes back. Using Netstumbler i can see that the signal is -84 and the noise is -100.

Please help.

Note. My Network is not protected.

I just went thru the two tutorials for networking. Nothing helps.

Also, is my card at fault? as it isnt picking up a good signal (25% at most).

What card or USB adaptor should I replace it with?

I'm thinking of selling it in for a Linksys USB adaptor.


Please help. This is urgent.

Right now I am using dial-up.

I'm pretty sure it is my card now because I tried to connect to my neighbors network and the same occured. Note: neighbor's signal is weaker than mine.

No no, I meant I am using dial-up currently becasue I can't access my broadband connetion I have on my ohter computer.
