What router are you using??? How is your Pc conneted to the router? and i take it you have a ethernet crossover cable connected from your Pc to your xbox?
Try this for now; turn off your router disconnect your pc connection from your router connect your ethernet cable to your xbox from your router. So you have only a internet connection from your router to your xbox. Turn you router on and your xbox see if this works? Hopefully this helps I had the same problem cant really tell you any more without knowing your hardware. Maybe you need ICS settup? Are you using a router or cable modem router? maybe your router doesnt support 2 connections? This post has been edited by W1kpro: Oct 9 2006, 05:04 AM |

I spend a lot of time tryng to get this to work. I bought my son a linksys WR54G and the MS wireless network adapter for his XBox 360. His mother has Verizon DSL, which as we all know does not play in the sandbox well with others
Short of launching DSL for cable, and if you want this to be quickand painless, skip all the steps that I toiled over for several hours. Forget about Port Forwarding and go directly to Best Buy, do not pass go, do not collect your 200 dollars, just go and buy the freakin' Verizon DSL Modem/Wireless Router. Remember that even if your installation software says that your ready to access the internet, you have to reconfigure the PPPoE anyway and then it will work like a charm. Yeah, this may be by design so it pisses me off, but it works and I'm sick of screwing with it. I'm having a drink now. |

But I fixed mine by plugging my 360 into the router FIRST, then my comp. My router restarted the IP's when i simply shut it off and back on. Then, I just d/c the cable (my 360 is wireless capable) and still has the same IP, w00t. =) This post has been edited by axesever: Feb 9 2008, 08:42 PM |
