Hi, im David. I recently deleted my holiday photos under the impression that my brother had copied them. Turns out he forgot to do it and i need them back. Problem is, it was different to a usual delete. It said something along the lines of, becuase of the size that it was going to bypass the recycle bin and simply remove them. Ive tried using aprogrma called recover my files but it cant seem to find them. Any help would be greatly appreciated.#

Hi hellodave123. Welcome to geeks to go. Have you tried
system restore
Hit,Start, all programs, Accessories, system tools, system
Restore, click on restore my computer to an earlier time, then
pick a date before the problem. then click next.

Will system restore delete all newly created files or not?

Here is what I just done to find out for you.
I made a new folder named it and put two
pictures .jpg in it, then I done a system restore to a
date just before the new folder and the
new folder and the files where all there intact.
You also can do undo my last restoration from
system restore to bring you back to date.
I hope that helps
It worked on my computer but it could differ on your system
I’m running xp pro.
always back up important files.
