This issue has been resolved. It was a dead monitor in the end, afterall. The keyboard falling out of the chair was purely coincidental.

Keyboard fell out of the chair and since then, the screen on my daughters computer is blank. It's actually on because it has a greenish black tint to it, and it goes completely black when I turn the monitor off. Not sure if it's related to that, or if it's purely coincidental. I don't know if the mouse and keyboard are working as I don't have a cursor or anything else on the screen, so I can't check it. I've rebooted numerous times and tried tapping F8 to see if I could get into safe mode. No such luck. I tried control+alt+delete, but nothing came up. The sound card is bad, so I can't even tell if it's rebooting when I turn it off and back on. Someone please help? Any ideas about what I can do to bring it back? It's like it's stuck in sleep mode or something. *sigh*

It didn't help. The monitor does a quick flashy blink and then it goes to greenish black and stays that way.
