I have registered a new domain name http://www.debt-consolidation-consulting.com through http://www.domainsarefree.com almost 2 weeks ago. When the domain was still parked at domainsarefree.com I could access their parked page. However since I changed the nameservers and pointed them to http://www.servage.net it is as if it disappeared off the internet. Whenever I type in http://www.debt-consolidation-consulting.com I get the following: ------------------- The requested URL could not be retrieved While trying to retrieve the URL: http://www.debt-consolidation-consulting.com/ The following error was encountered: Unable to determine IP address from host name for www.debt-consolidation-consulting.com The dnsserver returned: No Address records This means that: The cache was not able to resolve the hostname presented in the URL. Check if the address is correct ------------------- It has now been more than a full 7 days and still I cannot see this domain. I have been told it takes up to 72 hours for this to happen, however it is now way more than that. The WHOIS database shows that the domain is pointing to ns1.servage.net & ns2.servage.net but it is not showing up. Can anybody tell me what the problem is and what I can do? Thanks for your help jimo47 |

Contact your host...
If the nameservers are correct then the registrar has completed their end properly (more or less there can be other circumstances that could be a problem)... Right now it sounds like your host does not have you setup. Ensure that both your nameservers you provided your registrar are correct (sometimes they skip so instead of ns1. & ns2. it might be ns1. and ns3.) and are the ones that were provided when you registered with them. Again, this sounds like an issue with the setup at your host asn that is where I would start. |
