Right am using WM 11 and all videos play (WMV,AVI etc) but I can't get any MPEG files to play I have tried installing MPEG codecs with no results. Am just wondering if anyone has an ideas of what is wrong.

Here is a screenshot of what comes up when I try to play a MPEG:

I just updated to WM 11 but I tried to go back to 10 and still did not work.

Well my laptop broke and I got it fixed and previously I had Windows Home XP but now I have Windows Professional XP, but before I got it updated it worked with Windows Home.

Do you have an XP Pro CD, or can you borrow one, it needs to be the same version (SP2 etc)

It will give the options of replacing the system files and / or a repair install, both leave the existing data intact

Sorry just tried this mate been ill. When I had loaded my computer up I put the disc in and only option I got was do you want to install XP I clicked yes thinking it might work but it says I have a newer version.

Am wondering should I put the disc in before I start my laptop up, also I don't really want to install windows again cause am worried I might lose all my data is it possible to get a repair option?

Thanks for your help so far by the way am really grateful.
