Problem with Opera and Msn Messenger

Ok, the problem is when i go into Opera or messenger and do somthing (open a link, try to sign in) The program immediately closes.

No error, no nothing. The program just quickly disappears. I can navigate around each program fully (save bookmarks, screw with settings etc..) but when i try to make it connect to the internet it just crashes.

Any ideas? Haste is required because im going insane here. Thanks in advance.
