I have a 3 Meg Cable internet connection and I defragmented my hard drive to speed things up but now when I start Internet Explorer, myhome page or any other internet sites will barely come up. I've never had my connection this slow even when I had dial up 10 yrs. ago. What did I do wrong and How can I fix it? Thanks, Stephanie

1: Click Start > settings > network connections > local area connection. Click on Support and perform a repair of connection. If this doesn't help:

2: IE > tools > internet options > connections. Click Setup to create a new internet connectin.
