Has anyone purchased a media center pc with vista home premium installed? I know that with mc 2005 there were some compatability issues between hardware and software. I have a friend who has the nvidia socket 979 4 series chipset. He switched to about 5 different video cards before he was happy with performance and feature set. I am looking for something to replace my comcast dvr, offers more recording options, more storage, ability to burn off or archive your recordings. Also with media center pc's, have they reached the point where they can replace the stereo or is a good stereo a desirable item.
