Hello josecarlosg and Welcome to Geeks To Go!

Please read this post completely, it may make it easier for you if you copy and paste this post to a new text document or print it for reference later.

Run HijackThis, click on "Scan" and check the boxes next to all these items.

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {202a961f-23ae-42b1-9505-ffe3c818d717} - (no file)
O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\..\{03F359DA-5507-4501-8A6E-2120E0A843F5}: NameServer = 85.255.114.67,85.255.112.140

O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\..\{2F22E2B3-6662-47DE-9750-CB449FC93B26}: NameServer = 85.255.114.67,85.255.112.140
O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\..\{317D37F5-B1D8-4954-AC3C-463B47E0AD29}: NameServer = 85.255.114.67,85.255.112.140
O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\..\{6B15E757-ADF7-4D6F-B085-13D0CF7FDB0F}: NameServer = 85.255.114.67,85.255.112.140
O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\..\{899C2DB4-547B-42CA-BA6D-EF9E1935D808}: NameServer = 85.255.114.67,85.255.112.140
O17 - HKLM\System\CS1\Services\Tcpip\Parameters: NameServer = 85.255.114.67 85.255.112.140

Then close all windows, and browsers, except HijackThis. Tell HijackThis to "Fix checked".

Please download FixWareout from here:
http://downloads.subratam.org/Fixwareout.exe

Save it to your desktop and run it. Click Next, then Install, make sure "Run fixit" is checked and click Finish.
The fix will begin; follow the prompts. If your firewall gives an alert, (because this tool will download an additional file from the internet), please don't let your firewall block it, but allow it instead.
Then you will be asked to reboot your computer; please do so. Your system may take longer than usual to load; this is normal.
Once the desktop loads please post the text that will open (report.txt)

Next, Before doing this write down all the settings, Note that not all system/setups even have these settings, While some connection services will require them.

These instructions are basically for home users.

In the windows control panel. If you are using Windows XP's Category View, select the Network and Internet Connections category otherwise double click on Network Connections. Then right click on your default connection, usually local area connection for cable and dsl, and left click on properties. Click the Networking tab. Double-click on the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) item and select the radio dial that says Obtain DNS servers automatically

Press OK twice to get out of the properties screen and reboot if it asks.
That option might not be avaiable one some systems
Next Go start run type cmd and hit OK
type
ipconfig /flushdns
then hit enter, type exit hit enter
(that space between g and / is needed)

In your next reply, please include these log(s):

*Wareout report.txt
* HijackThis log (new)

Also, please let me know how things are running now and if you encountered any problems while you were following the instructions I posted.

Hello josecarlosg

You have a lot of infections. We should be able to clean these up. smile.gif

Please read this post completely, it may make it easier for you if you copy and paste this post to a new text document or print it for reference later.

Please re-open HiJackThis and scan. Check the boxes next to all the entries listed below.(if present):

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {7E853D72-626A-48EC-A868-BA8D5E23E045} - (no file)
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {a43385f0-7113-496d-96d7-b9b550e3fcca} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\ixt1.dll (file missing)
O3 - Toolbar: Protection Bar - {479fd0cf-5be9-4c63-8cda-b6d371c67bd5} - C:\Program Files\X Password Generator\iesplugin.dll (file missing)
O20 - Winlogon Notify: winjks32 - C:\WINDOWS\

Now close all windows other than HiJackThis, then click Fix Checked. Reboot into safe mode.

Restart your computer and as soon as it starts booting up again continuously tap F8. A menu should come up where you will be given the option to enter Safe Mode.

You will need to enable hidden files and folders by doing the following:
Windows XP

* Click Start.
* Open My Computer.
* Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
* Select the View Tab.
* Under the Hidden files and folders heading select Show hidden files and folders.
* Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option.
* Click Yes to confirm.
* Click OK.

Go to Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs.

Please remove these entries from Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel (if present):
X Password Generator

Using Windows Explorer (to get there right-click your Start button and go to "Explore"), please delete these folders (if present):
C:\Program Files\X Password Generator

Reboot to normal Windows.

Next, Please download VundoFix.exe to your desktop
  • Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
  • Click the Scan for Vundo button.
  • Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
  • You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
  • Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
  • When completed, it will prompt that it will reboot your computer, click OK.
  • Please post the contents of C:\vundofix.txt and a new HiJackThis log in a reply to this thread.
Note: It is possible that VundoFix encountered a file it could not remove. In this case, VundoFix will run on reboot, simply follow the above instructions starting from "Click the Scan for Vundo button" when VundoFix appears upon rebooting.

Please let Vundo finish its thing, sometimes it can take multiple passes

Then Please download SmitfraudFix (by S!Ri) to your Desktop.

Double-click SmitfraudFix.exe
Select option #1 - Search by typing 1 and press "Enter"; a text file will appear, which lists infected files (if present).
Please copy/paste the content of that report into your next reply.

**If the tool fails to launch from the Desktop, please move SmitfraudFix.exe directly to the root of the system drive (usually C:), and launch from there.

Note : process.exe is detected by some antivirus programs (AntiVir, Dr.Web, Kaspersky) as a "RiskTool"; it is not a virus, but a program used to stop system processes. Antivirus programs cannot distinguish between "good" and "malicious" use of such programs, therefore they may alert the user.

I would like you to generate a "Add/Remove Software list" log using the HijackThis application. Here is how you can do this:

To get an Uninstall List from HijackThis:
  • Open HijackThis, click Config, click Misc Tools
  • Click "Open Uninstall Manager"
  • Click "Save List" (generates uninstall_list.txt)
  • Click Save, copy and paste the results in your next post.

In your next reply, please include these log(s):

*vundofix.txt
*SmitfraudFix
*HijackThis Uninstall List
* HijackThis log (new)

Also, please let me know how things are running now and if you encountered any problems while you were following the instructions I posted.
