Hi

My laptop picked up malware the other day which I have been unable to remove.

I have antispy software installed: XoftSpySE and and SuperAntiSpy, but these have had no effect. I also ran SmitfraudFix with no results.

I ran a process to find out what is running on the computer and the results were as follows:

Browser Extensions, Toolbars and Registry Applications

DXOVX.DLL TROJAN/Malware.SpyLocked.Process
Description
SpyLocked is a rogue anti-spyware scanner

File Location on your Computer
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DXOVX.DLL
Registry Path and CLSID where file was detected on your Computer
Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\SharedTaskScheduler
{716002DB-288C-4BF0-80CD-A467E78D8B55}
File Size (bytes)
7168 MD5 Checksum/Fingerprint
FC25C825B54420AC04FBC61133ABDA33

Company Name
SpyLocked.com Company Url/Website
www.spylocked.com

I think I have to get into the regedit and delete it there but am unsure if this is right.

Any of you computer gurus able to help???

Huge kiss and thanks in advance.

Mariette

Hi again!!

I managed to remove the problem after reading topic "Video AX Object Malware Issue " and basically using that info to remove my problem via the regedit and the Killbox file provided.

Am new to this site and find it really interesting and helpful.

Thanks for that.

Kisses
