Hey,

I currently have Windows XP, and increasingly fed up with it. I've heard wonders about Macs, but I don't know whether the change will be too hard, but I'm young so I guess that should be ok... Also, with a Mac, I worry about the kind of software it comes with (how easy it is to function etc), and if the equivalent of microsoft word is on there already or any good?

The other option is that I get Windows Vista...

Just wondering if anyone's got any advice, or can give reviews to a couple of Macs for me, I've been looking at the iMac 17/20" again I cannot choose...

Thanks! thumbsup.gif biggrin.gif

Personally I totally dislike MACS very strongly. I wrote about a page of reason I hate MAC but that's not relevant. They are good for sound editing/video editing. Although Windows has some much better more expensive/advanced video editing programs. I like iMovie because it's basic and has some great effects although very basic. If your into sound editing then there good because Logic Pro is expensive although amazing. Otherwise there overpriced imo. And there not good. They dont come with Office but you can buy it. But some of the big downsides are the lack of software and hardware compatibility. Also if you have a program you use a lot, you may have to rebuy it as a MAC version. I really don't like them but you should find someone that has one, or go to an Apple and try it out because I'm not you and what I dislike you may love. IMO they suck, but a lot of people I know use them. Good luck with your choice, but w/e you do don't regret it.
