Just curious about what others think of the following websites I've created

Mine
http://www.joewest.ca/joe/

My cat's
http://www.joewest.ca/Robin/

You gotta be a cat lover to appreciate the second one.

The first one is a template that you just downloaded and used. The second is some great frontpage goodness.

I hate the intarweb.

Sure, it looks fine, but: 70 errors, clipart, tables for layout, unnecessary images (coding would suffice).. Oh god... Oh god.

If these are your first web sites I think you have done a great job..However ,of course, they need a lot of improvements and error fixing. I am sure someone here will give you a few tips...

If you're just starting on web design, then you're on the right track. A few improvements on your sites would do you some good. Continue training on Frontpage, then proceed to Notepad whenever you're ready. If you need a few pointers, I'm just here.

Wasn't aware that anyone would still be viewing this thread. Anyway, thanks to those who provided some positive feedback. To those who preferred to provide some harsh criticisms without offering any idea regarding what 'errors' exist or how I could discover these errors, you will be happy to know that I am no longer interested in trying to create a better website. I'll stick with the simple things like FrontPage (I'm sure you're rolling your eyes by now, but I really don't care). It does bother me that those 'pros' who have commented seem to forget what it was like when they first began doing things. And to ScHwErV, I also hate the 'Intraweb' but mostly for those who think they are great and don't really care to help out others.

With all due respect, I would appreciate if who ever is responsible could remove this thread since it hasn't provided (in nine months) any assistance in pointing me in the right direction.

Gumby, if you have the mindset of, you think your site is good as it is, or can't take critique, you will get nowhere.

By the way, if you are serious about making a good website on the other hand, you should go here and read up: W3 Schools
