I've got an Inspiron 5100 and I am trying to hook it up to my tv. I bought an SVIDEO cord today, but I heard that I had to put my laptop on svideo out and I am unaware of how to do so. Any suggestions?

Look on page 62 of this Owners Manual it will explain how to enable TV settings, you will need to know what type video card you have. There are instructions for ATI and NVIDIA.
