so my internet browsers are not working and i cant figure it out because my computer (laptop) does connect to the internet, it says its connected. i can connect wirelessly or hard line and the other thing is my home pc works fine. so i tried almost everything i could think of from going into the routers configurations, pinging my ip's, resetting the router, connecting directly to my modem, uninstalling azureus because i found that it did in fact work while i had this problem, very odd indeed. i also tried all this in safe mode and that didnt work either. so im at a standstill and would apprecieate any help to fix this. oh and i did my virus scan which came up with an infected file, but cleaned it with no problem (to make sure i ran a remove tool which confirmed)

Hi pph9999. Welcome to Geeks to Go!

Because you mentioned Azureus and an infected file, I'm going to suggest you post in the Malware forum.

Please go to the malware forum and follow the instructions at the top....Especially the CLICK HERE.

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty (and you may not be) then post a hijackthis log in THE MALWARE FORUM forum.
(Posting HiJack This logs in any other forum other than the malware forum is forbidden. If you post an HJT log in any other forum, it will be removed and it will take you longer to get help, so please make sure you only post HJT logs in the malware forum)

If you are still having problems after getting the "all-clear" from the malware expert, please return to this thread.
