I found one and I followed the instructions and it said to type "chkdsk /r" and I ran disk check at next start. So it took about 2 hours to do so, then my computer seemed to start normally. but the colors were all messed up. I looked on the apperance tab when you right click on the desktop to change the resolution/color stuff, and the resolution was set at the lowest and the color was set at 4-bit. I tried to change it but nothing happened, and I rebooted but nothing changed. I know its not a hardware problem because the windows logo that appears at the start looked the same as it always did. I need some serious help if anyone could give some advice that would be greatly appreciated. |

Hi Mr. Jack...
Sounds like you need to install the drivers for your display adapter (video card). wannabe1 |

Yep that worked.
I guess it removed my drivers or something when it checked the disk...? I dunno, but thanks anyway. |

It's doubtful that the chkdsk operation would have removed the driver.
Glad that fixed things up... |
