I'm currently using McAfee VirusScan Enterprise 8.0i. I have been encountering problems updating it. Hence, I've decided to uninstall it and switch to AVG. However, during the uninstallation process, my computer was not responding. The uninstallation is not complete. And because of laptop is being infected by malware, my Task Manager has been disabled. So, I restarted my computer. But, McAfee is no longer in my Program's list although there's still a V Shield at the down right corner. When I right-clicked the shield, and choose VirusScan Console, a text box saying "Could not access the local computer. Make sure you have appropriate privileges and the product is properly installed" appears. That's the only thing I can do with the McAfee. Besides, when i go to Control Panel's Add/Remove Programs, I couldn't find McAfee VirusScan too. Please help me to completely uninstall this software. Thanks in advance. |
