Computer stopped working-Help!, Stuck at C prompt

OS: Windows 98
One night it sounded like loud clicks from my computer, I sent an e-mail, it went down but came back up, I sent e-mail again, it went down & when I restarted now it just has a "C" prompt? with the cursor just blinking next to it. My boys are too busy to help but I'm determined to try & fix the problem. Thanks BJ1

Could be the power supply...could be the hard drive. Do you have your operating system installation cd?
