Ended up with System Live Protect on my system.
I ran SmitfraudFix but the problem remained.
Once this malware was on my system, AVG would no longer run correctly.
I decided to format the c drive, a lot of work ahead of me but at least the problem would be over.
But as soon as I reinstalled the drivers and made contact with the web that red icon appeared in the systray telling me "threats had been detected".
How is this possible? How did it survive the format?
What do I do now?
Please advise.
