Malware? White V on Black

New Member Posts: 1 OS: XP	I have a friends computed to fix with malware. The computer is unable to connect to the internet. Used UltimateBootCD 4 Windows to try to clean it. Booted to the main system and was able to connect to the internet for about 15 second before I was blocked again. When the problem came back, I noticed that where the Windows flag is in the upper right conner of Internet Explorer, there is now a white V on a black background. Would this white V give a clue to the problem?
