Hi.
It looks like corrupted Winsock after deletion of adware components.... You can download and run Winsock XP Fix but computer will still be full of malware....... So you roughly have to follow these steps : 1. Get ONE of anti trojan programs: TDS-3, TrojanHunter and Ewido are best so far. 2. Install and/or update SpyBot Search and Destroy 3. Install and/or update AdAware 4. Update definitions of your antivirus soft 5. Turn off "System restore", here is how: a) right click MyComputer b) click Properties c) click System Restore tab d) select "Turn off system restore on all drives" e) click OK f) restart comp 6. Restart your computer in "Safe mode" (press F8 during win startup) 7. Delete temporary files, here is how: a) open Internet Explorer b) click Tools c) click Internet options d) under Temporary internet files click Delete Files.. e) click Delete all offline content when you are still in Safe mode do all the following steps (and stay in Safe mode): 8. Run scan with anti-trojan program (installed in step 1) 9. Run scan with SpyBot Search and Destroy (installed in step 2) 10. Run scan with AdAware (installed in step 3) 11. Restart comp in Normal mode 12. Run online virus scan from this site: http://housecall.trendmicro.com/ 13. Run "Windows update" and install all critical updates Follow all above steps 3 TIMES because some viruses, trojans and spyware plants itself deep into the system. WinSock XP Fix offers a last resort if your Internet connectivity has been corrupted due to invalid or removed registry entries. It can often cure the problem of lost connections after the removal of Adware components or improper uninstall of firewall applications or other tools that modify the XP network and Winsock settings. If you encounter connection problems after removing network related software, Adware or after registry clean-up; and all other ways fail, then give WinSock XP Fix a try......
