Hey everyone, wasn't sure where else to post this, however I'm having trouble with findfast.exe. As a side note I should mention if you -do- have Office apparently you should disable this anyway since it creates useless cache files ( iirc. ) and will eat your CPU usage. However I don't have Office installed, and yet I have Microsoft Find Fast apparently on my PC. Is this some kind of malware? I wasn't sure where to post but since the problem originates with a supposed Office file I thought I'd try here. Either way is it safe to delete it, or should I disable it first?

Find Fast is often left behind when Office 2000 or earlier has been installed at some point but later uninstalled.

Find Fast only comes with Office and isn't installed with any other Microsoft program so if its now on your system it usually means the computer has had Office at some point.

It's relatively simple to kill though - find it's entry in the Startup Folder on your Start Menu, right-click the entry -> Delete.
