wacko.gif I have a service oriented small business. My website name will not be my agency name.

I typed in "Dallas Home Cleaning" (not real name) but it did not pull up any companies! But someone DOES have "HoustonHomeCleaning.com! Why didn't the search drive me to that website?

1. What kind of address do I make to get the search for "Dallas home cleaning services" (not real name) or "Texas home cleaning" to lead the customer to my website?

2. Which website address should I select to get the most traffic?

DallasHomeCleaning.org (since .com is taken, even though my search did not drive me to it?)
TexasHomeCleaning.com
HomeCleaningDallas.com
HomeCleaningServices.com
MyDallasHomeCleaning.com
ApartmentCleaningServicesDallas.com

3. ---OR----

Any of the above with all of the below?

.com
.org
.info
.net

Please help me understand how internet traffic works!!! This will make the difference between my making my business work or fail. Thank you!

The name of your domain is not as important to the search engines as the content of your website. Putting a site online does not automatically get it "noticed" by Google, either. Google "search engine optimization".

SEO efforts may involve a site's coding, presentation, and structure, as well as fixing problems that could prevent search engine indexing programs from fully spidering a site. Other, more noticeable efforts may include adding unique content to a site, ensuring that content is easily indexed by search engine robots, and making the site more appealing to users.
