Right, about 2 weeks ago I started to experience problems with Windows Firewall (It keeps disabling itself for some reason). I've tried numerous other firewalls which have been recommended, but have experienced problems with all of them:

Zone Alarm Pro: Installed fine, but when I tried to start the program it would open for a second then close immediately.

BitDefender: Installation freezes. Program just won't open.

Outpost Firewall: Worked brilliantly for a week, but then the program wouldn't open due to configuration settings being corrupt which I could not fix.

I also tried to install some new Anti-Virus software, but I'm encountering problems with them too:

AVG: Works, but it won't update.

Kaspersky: Installed fine but it just wouldn't open.

BitDefender: See BitDefender Firewall problem.

NOD32: Virus scan kept freezing at 67%

There has to be a connection with all of this. Does anybody have a clue how to solve it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated,
Cheers.
