How are you going to install the old drive in the new computer? Are you going to install it as a 2nd hard drive (slave) or do you mean you are going to use it as your boot drive?

If as the boot drive then you will need to do a Repair Install once it in the new computer because of the many hardware differences.

See her for details: How to do a Repair Install.

Once completed, all your data should be intact, including cookies and passwords.

If you mount it as a slave then you should be able to copy the cookies over from here: C:\Documents and Settings\youruserid\Cookies.

Internet Explorer stores the passwords you have chosen to save in encrypted form in the Registry, so I don't think you will be able to recover them if the drive is mounted as a slave. May even lose them with a Repair Install, I don't know for sure though.

Anyone else know?

You are not going to save your registry files or copy them from the old drive to the new one. It's just not possible.

You can copy all or almost all your data from the old drive to an account on the new drive though. See here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/811151

Don't bother. The bank web site should have a mechanism you can follow to reset your password. If not there must be a number you can call. Easier and faster.
