Hi, I have been getting a box pop up over the last month or so an Nvida power indicator :
"To protect your hardware from potential damage or causing a potential system lockup, the graphics processor has lowered its performance to a level that allows continued safe operations."

When I troubleshoot it says to see if the card has a suplimentary power cable connected, but mine hasn't got a socket for one.
It's a 6600GT Nvidia AGP card.

I was going to go down the route of replacing the PSU 1st as it's a 450W and it's the cheaper option to be honest!

Am I going down the right avenue?

Hi Tiger,

All the AGP versions of this card ask for the additional power connector.

What its talking about is using a molex connector from the power supply. It goes on the rear of the card (opposite side to the dvi ports).
