I'm trying to install Windows on a laptop of mine that only has Ubuntu on it. When I turn on the computer with the windows xp disk in the drive nothing happens. I know a little about computers and Ubuntu, but to be honest Im basically a newb.

My question is how can I install XP or Windows 2000 or 98 even, on Ubuntu?

OS: None. They cause software problems and then I'm like "Damn!"

Will your Ubuntu CD boot in the same drive? If so, there's a problem with the XP CD.

I got it to work. I'm not sure how though. It started to load ubuntu so I shut it off. When I turned it back on it asked if I wanted to boot from cd. I got it installed finally.

Thanks for the help though.
