I am using the latest version of iTunes. My iPod Touch has firmware version 1.1.1 and just came out of the packaging. I plugged it in, hit update, it downloads the 1.1.4 firmware update, says it's preparing iPod for Restore, then I get a message that says my iPod Touch could not be restored because an unknown error occurred (1604)

What do I need to do in order to restore and update my iPod Touch? Because now it dowsn't even load properly. I turn it on and all I get is the iTunes logo with a cable. I have restrted my computer, deleted the iPod Touch update, uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes, ran System Restore, and whatever else I could do. Please help me!

*EDIT*

I fixed the issue. I used a new HP Laptop that has Windows Vista on it, instead of my home desktop that is 6 years old and running Windows XP.

Hi Erika24 I can help you but you'd have to start your own thread please. Just go back to the "Digital Video and Audio" section and click the "New Thread" button to begin your own thread. Otherwise your post if considered "thread hijacking". tongue.gif
