Hello everyone,

I am interested in becoming a Malware tech here. I also just want the skills to help other people I know.

My questions to all of you GeekU students and/or Graduates is: What kind of commitment will I be making? I still have my normal schoolwork to do (High School). How difficult is it? I do have some computer experience. How does it all work?

Any comments that will enlighten me a little more on this subject will be welcomed.

P.S I don't know if I posted this in the right section and I apologize if I posted wrong. smile.gif

Its not really that strict. They don't make you do a log every day. You do a log when you feel like you have the time.

The logs themselves aren't really that difficult.

Once you join GeekU, there will be a special section of the forums just for GeekU students. This is the place place where all the help, support and other things are located.

Hi there,

If you are interested in joining see THIS THREAD. It is definitely a commitment, and it isn't for everyone but if you are determined you will definately make it through! Freshman have more lenient rules and are allowed 90 days of inactivity before they are kicked out, this however changes once you get promoted to the upperclass, you have a 14 day inactivity allowance and then you are removed, and there is much more than Hijack this logs to learn!

give it a whirl you can only know if you try!

Mike

EDIT: right after I wrote this I noticed you are already going to apply... Well see you in GeekU!

I'll give it my best shot!

If I don't make it through GeekU I can still post as a normal person here right? Because I really like this site.

Edit: Well I have gone ahead and applied! smile.gif

Of course!

They aren't demons, the worst that happens is that you don't get in geekU and re-apply another time, but staying as a regular member is no problem tongue.gif

Good Luck,

Mike

congrats... now the fun starts Good luck in your training! Be sure to take your time and try to enjoy it, if you do too much to fast it can be a bit overwhelming.

Feel free to ask any questions you might have; someone here will have an answer for you, and it gives everyone else a chance to learn from it as well.

Again congrats, and I will see you around the forum.
