I just started my own little online custom image & design business called ‘Altered Animal Graphics”.I specialize in custom photomanipulated images of pets and animals. And I would really like a honest opinion of how my site looks and any advice would be great too. Heres the URL to my site.... http://www.freewebs.com/alteredanimalgraphics/index.htm Please & Thank You! |

First of all, when you are telling others of your website you don't need to tell them to include the /index.htm part at the end, because when you load the previous folder, it automatically searches for a file entitled "index.html" or "index.htm" If this is a business I would recommend buying a real domain - such as a .com. I would add some color to the home page as well.
You already have some meta tags: CODE <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1"> <meta name="keywords" content="custom pet graphics, pet graphics, animal graphics, custom animal graphics, free animal graphics, free animal comments,"> <meta name="description" content="Altered animal graphics custom pet animal graphics, comments, pictures, many design needs. Offers free animal pet graphics. everything custom with your pet s or animal s picture."> I would as well set up a Google Analytics account to receive information about visitors and other information. You may want to move around some of the information on your home page as well. It seems to be more effective if you possibly add it to the right as a sidebar. |

I'm happy that my review didn't have a buncha negative things about my site! Since this is my 1st attempt at starting a online business I constantly worry that my site isnt interesting & then thinking thats why I dont get many hits. Yet from your opinion it looks like my sites pretty OK. So now I'm thinking I need to definately work on promoting my site.((promoting my site for free that is)) Any suggestions on promoting my site? And Thanks Will_00 for taking the time to visit my site! Ive ALWAYS had the best luck finding intelligent quick help here! |

No problem. I would recommend using this site.
You may as well want to try this, yet I have never used it. One of the most important things about a website is keeping in updated. If you have added nothing new to the site that the visitor may want to see, it is virtually a waste. (Just pointing that out.) I as well forgot to add to the previous post that I would recommend removing the "Disable Right Click" option since it is commonly only used to prevent viewing the source code - which in this case can be easily seen by going to "View" and "View Source," "Page Source," or Ctrl + U. There are numerous different promotion services out there, but the basic principles of web promotion seem to have already been enabled after this. I would simply recommend continually checking and rechecking the site. You may want to add an option to rate pictures as well to help you see what you may need to improve on for your customers. Hope that helps. |

Very nice layout, some pages look to long, some regular (not bold) text that is beige/brown is bad readable.
