Did you change anything at all on your laptop when you where in that hotel?
Also, does this laptop use a cable from time to time? Regards, Olrik |

It is using an ethernet cable right now so I can connect.
At the hotel, my firewall blocked some ip address to ip address connections, which I now realize was the packets being sent and received so I could connect but I didn't think that would have anything to do with my home connection. |

Just read your original post again.
You said you tried ipconfig /renew. Before you did a renew, did you do a /release aswell? If not then follow these instructions.
What firewall are you using? Regards, Olrik |

I know how to do a screenshot. I'm at work too, tell me what you want a screenshot of and I'll do it when I get home.

Ok, take a look at the red box in the screenshot below here.
Please go to that menu. You will see 2 tabs to the right like the red box below. Select the boxed one. Make a screenshot of the most recent alerts and upload it to an image uploading site. Make SURE you take a uploading site that will allow you to delete the image afterwards. Regards, Olrik |

Photobucket will do.
Just make sure you double check you can delete the image afterwards to make sure other people don't get access to information from your firewall etc. Regards, Olrik |

Ok, I see what you're doing, mostly coz I already did it. But, for some reason the Alert log deletes the recent alerts after just a couple days so the only thing on there is from yesterday.
