First is Big Block 427 slighty built and the 2nd is a 400 small block with a few tweaks.

There has been several motors and frame packs in this particular car,Ive managed to tweak each just enough to melt them and try something else, the 560 Caddy is the most recent project but im busting lots of items underneath,so we sent it off to a facility where mucho modifications were installed along with the intercooler.

Its a hobby I cant really afford but its quite addictive,it appears I may be installing quad torsion bars to secure the rear end from rolling,so maybe new gears and axles after next weekend or entire new rearend, money and fuel are becoming factors as well,it may get put on the backburners again until things settle a bit in our economy.

Go back to the 400, d-stroke it w/8.5 flatties and run it fat on the bottle (2 stage). Get the R's up and keep it fat, you will be amazed. Power to weight ratio works great with the "383" as it would end as. Add a set of dart heads and get rid of the un-sprung weight and off you go. I ran the same setup in a '70 Nova for years, backed with a 4 section trans and 4.88's in a ford 9" Plant it with some 33 X10.50 goodyear D3's and your well into the lower 10.5 area. Neat for a streeter!
