HI guys

I have a PC but thinking of getting a mac I will let you no of the specs the mac has and PC I have got
and let me no if I should move form the PC
the mac going to cost me $1285 Aus
and can you tell me is the mac a mac pro 64bit
and can I put my vista on it to 64bit
and can I transfer my vista photo and video and more on to the apple

Since you already have a "fast PC", you are in the enviable position of "personal choice" with regard to Mac or not.
There isn't really a "should" involved in the decision.

Software for Mac's provide a wide range of functionality, and Mac owners tend to be loyal and satisfied.
If you were a gamer, then PC would most often be the better platform.

In many ways, Mac and PC are in different worlds.
Sure you can load MS software on a Mac, but remember that you may be opening your machine up to the vulnerabilities peculiar to Windows.

Have a look at Mac Boot Camp for information about cross-platform operating systems.

It's a choice that I haven't ventured into.
Many Mac users are passionate about their machines, but since my PC's do everything I need, I have little inclination to make the switch.

Media such as .jpg, .gif, .bmp and other open source images, tunes and video should be no problem.
For media saved in proprietary MS formatting, such as MWA and MWF, you would need to install the MS application and/or save the media into a common open source format before transferring it to your Mac.

for Text, you would either have to install the same "Office" application software, or install Open Office for Mac.

Also as I recall if you want to run windows on a mac even with boot camp the mac has to be intel based processor not the g series....

Yes, that's not a Mac Pro, it has a G5 processor so it won't run Windows.
