Hi,
I hope someone can help me. My laptop has been pretty much useless for a week now because of a virus I had. I went through the process with some guys here to remove a rootkit/core.cache virus. They said my system is no longer infected.

BUT...I am having huge "windows" issues. Error messages after error messages and then today I got the Blue screen of death.

The error message on the blue screen was

0x0000007E (0xC0000005, 0x804D7003, 0xF795CA54, 0XF795C750)

Here are some other things that it does...

I can reboot my computer and everything seems fine for about the first 3-5 minutes. Once I start trying to open applications I get errors saying...
Bad Image file
This application can not be opened because it is not a windows image file.

I have also seen my fonts change to some strange font and then they go back to normal.

I have scanned my system with just about every spyware, antivirus, security software known to man....there are a couple that find things but can not delete them all.

Anyway, if anyone can take a look into these errors and lead me in some direction on how to solve this issue, I sure would appreciate it.
This is consuming a large chunk of my life lately.

Thanks for that link, I think I may find the solution there.
I did discover that my cd/dvd drive is listed as No driver.
It will take me a couple days to go through the process but I
will follow the instructions on that link to repair my drivers, then i will get back with you.
