I'm running into two major problems:
I normally run firefox, but lately flash related things have been glitchy. Reinstalling flash didn't fix it,
so i wanted to try them out in IE and low and behold I find that it can't connect to any sites. No matter the site address (ip or typed out style) it either brings up a page saying:
Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage, or The Address is not valid (when this happens it replaces the typed address w/ http:///). Googling about the issue turned up malware can be a source. I normally run Ad-aware and spybot but they have been coming up clean, so I wanted to check in with you folks to see if Hijackthis showed anything deeper. Thanks in advance for any insight you may have.

*Edit*- Just wanted to add that when I tried to update either of the scanners it came up w/ an error saying that they couldn't connect to the server. **
