At first I was worried, but the more I have played the more it has grown on me. They put a lot of work into the story line, but I prefer a little more free roaming game. I noticed that after playing for a while that it opens up to what we are used to with GTA games. I would give the game a 9.0/10.0, the only lost point is for the slow start to the story. |

i thought the whole point of GTA4 was to be MORE free roaming than the others? (i.e. watching TV or surfing the internet etc...)....if you want to send me a console and the game...i could test this theory out

From that stand point it is more free roaming, I mean as far as them guiding you through the story. At first you don't have many options as far as which way to take the story. Then after playing for a while it opens up and you have some options for what to do next.
If you can wire me about $700 or so, I should be able to send you a console and a few games. |

I've been playing GTA IV pretty hardcore lately I'd definitely say it's one of the best if not THE best games rockstar has released, and with Rockstar saying the 360 will have DLC equal to the size of new cities to be included, woah I think I've just lost a few dozen more hours of my life to video games
and yes the free roaming is nice, according to whatever rockstar guy was getting interviewed on the Opie & Anthony radio show on release day, there's over 100 websites to visit "one gives you a 5star wanted level though lol" 5 hours of tv, 19 radio stations sporting over 200 songs and enough side missions & items to unlock to make you lose track of time well back off to the game I go |
