I have followed the earlier advice on this site using the various applications and have removed a lot of nasty sounding files which does seem to have helped somewhat, but I would appreciate any further help to get rid of this message. Thanks. Forgot to say, my task manager has also gone rather weird. It used to give me the option to switch between viewing applications, processes etc. Now, it only shows processes and the only way I can close it is by right clicking a little square icon at the bottom of the screen rather than the usual left clicking the X at the top right of the window. Dont know if this is relevant. Hello dev_765, welcome to GeeksToGo!
My name is Tal, and I will be helping you in the process of removing malware from your computer. Before we proceed to clean your computer from malware, let's go over some points that will help both me and you, and prevent causing damage to your computer:
You may also want to Track This Topic. This feature of the forum will send out an email to the email address you've signed up with as soon as I reply, so you can be notified of my reply. To do this, please locate the Options menu, located just under the New Topic and New Reply icons. Once you've found it, click it, and choose Track This Topic from the dropdown menu (the first option). In the page that appears after you have clicked Track This Topic, select Immediate Email Notification, then click Proceed. Step1 : Correcting entries with HijackThis Please re-open HijackThis and click Scan. Put a check next to the following entries presented in the window: (Do NOT click Fix yet!) O2 - BHO: (no name) - {2ACD0F3A-3684-4F73-BBE1-127D821A9A93} - (no file) O2 - BHO: {3686c637-3c17-7698-7674-6fba08a259a5} - {5a952a80-abf6-4767-8967-71c3736c6863} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\dethqtqu.dll (file missing) O2 - BHO: (no name) - {5F480FED-389A-49FF-BCAB-57A2BB823525} - (no file) O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [84c882d0] rundll32.exe "C:\WINDOWS\system32\cummvsxj.dll",b O9 - Extra button: PartyPoker.com - {B7FE5D70-9AA2-40F1-9C6B-12A255F085E1} - C:\Program Files\PartyGaming\PartyPoker\RunApp.exe (file missing) O9 - Extra 'Tools' menuitem: PartyPoker.com - {B7FE5D70-9AA2-40F1-9C6B-12A255F085E1} - C:\Program Files\PartyGaming\PartyPoker\RunApp.exe (file missing) Now, close all other windows but HijackThis, including Explorer windows (folders) and this window, and click Fix. Note: It is vital you close all other windows, otherwise the fix will not succeed. Restart your computer. Step2 : OTMoveIt Please download the OTMoveIt2 by OldTimer. Please note: If you already have OTMoveIt on your system, please replace it with this newer version.
If a file or folder cannot be moved immediately you may be asked to reboot the machine to finish the move process. If you are asked to reboot the machine choose Yes. That should fix the RUNDLL errors. As for the system slowdown, you have a lot of services running at the background which are not really necessary and may reasonably slow down older computer. We can remove some if you want. Please include a new HijackThis log and the OTMoveIt log in your next reply. Regards, Tal |

Hi Tal.
Thanks for your help. Think I am finally getting somewhere. However after instructing OTMoveit to move those files I was given these messages in the right hand window: File/Folder C:\WINDOWS\system32\dethqtqu.dll not found. File/Folder C:\WINDOWS\system32\cummvsxj.dll not found. I'm not entirely sure if this means things are fixed or not. I am also not sure how I would open the c:\_OTMoveIt\MovedFiles folder to display its contents, or is that what the above is??? Anyway I have included a new HijackThis Log. Hey dev_765,
Your HijackThis log appears to be clean. We can investigate deeper into this matter to make sure everything is fixed. QUOTE I'm not entirely sure if this means things are fixed or not. I am also not sure how I would open the c:\_OTMoveIt\MovedFiles folder to display its contents, or is that what the above is??? The log was in that folder you mentioned, yes. Since no files were moved, the folder was empty of files. As for your question - yes, it's normal, since the anti-virus probably deleted the files and didn't delete the reference to them in the registry, hence the rundll errors you were getting. Please download Deckard's System Scanner (DSS) and save it to your Desktop.
