how do i become a staff

There's actually no "application" per say. The best way to say it is "don't call us, we'll call you."

Staff members take notice to other users who contribute to our community and provide great advice and assistance. Remember though, it's the quality that counts, not quantity. If we (as a group) feel that we'd like to have a user on our staff, we will contact you.

Is tech staff the only staff?

coobooh, than you for your interest in becoming part of the Geeks To Go staff. If you are interested in becoming part of the Tech Staff here, there is no application process. Tech Staff are chosen by current Staff members based on their body of work in the forum. If you want to be part of the Tech Staff, the forums are your tryout. If you think you have the stuff, just help people. If you provide good, consistent help, someone will notice you.

If you are interested in Malware Removal, there is an application process to join GeekU.
