sad.gif I have Macromedia Flash mx 2004. When I had dreamweaver mx 2004, I had no problem inserting a swf file on my websites. Now that i have upgraded to Adobe Dreamweaver CS3, when I insert a swf file, it does not show on the website. What is wrong???

I take it that the swf file is uploaded to the correct folder. You might check and see in Source View what code is being written for the path to the swf file. It may be set to use a full path and is coding the path to file with the path that is to where file resides on your hard drive. If it shows something like file:///c:/folder_name/ ..., etc., then that's your problem.

Try to post your code or a link to your site online so it can be checked.

Ron

Hi:

OK. The code for embedding your file is not totally correct. I can see the swf file using http://www.stjohneudes.org/sje-3.swf, but it is not loading into the page.

Try this free online tool to set up the code for your video. It allows you to test the code online before you insert it:

Embedded Media HTML Generator

Let me know if you still can't get it to work and I'll work on it for you.

BTW, your site has many code errors:

HTML Coding Errors

You should correct all these errors so browsers will know how to parse your pages.
