I'm new to this site and not 100% sure where to post so sorry if this is in the incorrect forum. So I was wondering if someone can type out how to reformat my computer or show me a site that shows step by step.

Howdy and welcome to GTG:

This is the Vista forum. Are you using Vista?

Do you have a Recovery/Restore cd (Dell, Acer, HP, etc) or a Microsoft retail cd?

What is the problem that makes you want to reformat the system?

Put the first cd into the drive and then reboot. Follow the prompts from there.

What is the make and model of your system?

Vista should be located on one of the two cd's.

Did the computer come with Vista or did you upgrade to Vista?
