Hi all,

I've just purchased a new WD 80Gb hard drive.

Can I just screw it into the slot inside the 'box', plug it in and away I go? ..

I now have Win XP SP2 running on my 2.8years old machine.
I have limited expertise in this field so any advice would be appreciated,

Cheers,
Max.

Basically that's what you have to do. Plus maybe format it. You can use the software disk that came with it to do that, or you can do it from Administrative Tasks in the Control Panel. You will probably have to have the jumper set to cable select.

Thanks Tyger,

Oh yes, I'd forgotten about the Jumper selection ... set to 'slave'.

The hard-drive came without a disk so I'll format it via Administrative Tasks in the Control Panel as you suggested.

Cheers, and thanks again,

Max.
