problems with speakers

OS: vista



I have upgraded to windows vista and i am not have sound from my boston digital ba735 speakers but the green light is on and everything is plugged in right. What seems to be the problem. Do I need a sound card or what?

Hello lilwoman2me...

Have you checked in Device Manager to see if the drivers for the sound card are installed and working properly? This sounds more like a driver issue than a problem with the card.

Open Control Panel and double click on the Device Manager icon. Are there any yellow ! or ? cons displayed next to any of the listed devices?
